“Life's journey is an intertwining of multiple paths. Several characters evolve, running into each other, provoking each other, complementing each other ; they cooperate to build an indefinable person who expresses their existence each time they dare say I.
…
My utopia is essentially a project about education.
School is there to help a child become itself, a self that is not defined beforehand,
that you mustn't cast into the mold proposed by family.”
Free translation from Albert Jacquard, Mon utopie, 2006
Becoming an adult, being an adult, remaining a child at heart, being yourself, becoming a professional is what we wish you during your studies.
We invite you to take up our principles of respect, commitment and responsibility, to find your own place, to fully experience fabulous problem-solving adventures in those magical places, to find a lot of pleasure in contributing to the education of children and teenagers.

Albert Jacquard
As an economist accusing triumphant economy, a biologist who discovered the prodigious educability of man and who chose Education rather than finance as a major objective for the 21st century, Albert Jacquard has become the mentor chosen by the future HEAJ graduates.
Albert Jacquard is indeed a typical example of a modern humanist: as a top-level scientist and nevertheless a great popularizer, he is involved in the current great ethical debates. His open mind, his refusal of all kinds of fundamentalism, his reject of any form of segregation, his openness to others, his struggle for a fairer and freer society, his emphasis on education as an essential driving force behind changes but also his action in favour of the deprived make him one of the great witnesses of our time.
The author of L'éloge de la différence has accepted to sponsor the Haute Ecole de Namur to contribute to the struggles we're leading (…) while being aware that this honour is not intended for (him)self but for the ideas that (he) defends with others.
